better than expected?

I got this for a Eureka Hand-Held Vacuum, 71B. I opened it up and what I received is exactly the same as the one that I got with my 71B... In the manual for the 71B, it states that the filter is NOT washable... This one says it is...So I sprayed the old one out. It's fine. So now I guess I have two washable filters... Anyway - good product, but you might already have one...

Does not fit Eureka Hand-Held 71b

I have a Eureka hand-held vacuum cleaner model 71b. It is the bright yellow model with a revolving brush and a hose attached to the side. This filter DOES NOT FIT!

Defective. Returned.

Just received mine today from TotalVac IncAfter opening the box, it looks like the bag was previously opened and resealed with scotch tape. I inspected the filter and found that the filter is sew'ed onto the plastic rim and was falling apart so there is a gap between the filter and the plastic rim.Returning it and will not seek replacement.Just to add that I thought I would need this washable filter with the Eureka 71B Hand-Held Vacuum I bought, but the Eureka manual says the included filter can be rinsed under running water, so I don't need this after all.

These do what they say

I have two- one that came with my vacuum, and this one. I know the one that came with the vac says it isn't washable but I wash it anyway and it's held up fine. Then while it dries I put in the other filter.

Not quite as good as the original.

I am currently using my Eureka vacuum to suck up dust from an orbital sander. The sander has an adaptor port that ties into my vacuum's extension hose. This works marvelously for dust control when i use the original filter that came with my vacuum. I bought this replacement filter to supplement the original filter, so I can wash one each day. I also pause and empty/brush out the filter whenever suction drops off. When I use this replacement filter, it doesn't work quite as well as when I'm using the original filter. On emptying and cleaning the replacement filter from Crucial Vacuum, I find wood dust particles on the "clean" side of the filter where they shouldn't be. I also now have a fine dust problem in the work area where none existed before.For the vast majority of applications I think that this replacement filter would be OK. Most of my vacuuming needs involve things like pet hair and crumbs, and this filter will work fine for those things. I'll keep it for general cleaning, but I won't be using it for cleaning up anything that involves wood sanding. Next time I'm buying the filter made by Eureka.

Use as a second switch filter

Bought this to switch with filter that has been cleaned and washed, let it dry and put this one in. You will find the major portion of my reviews rate the product high. We don't have much money, so I spend a lot of time researching a reviewing articles before purchasing, so far this has worked and we have been very happy with 99% of our purchases.

Fits perfectly! Catches all the junk!

Great filter that fits perfectly and catches all the junk the vacuum sucks up. It seems VERY SIMILAR to the filter that comes with the vacuum, but when you hold both of them up to the light, you'll see that this reusable one is made of thicker material. Washes off easily as well!

so easy & clean

I love this little thing. And I have a long haired cat. Just empty and throw in the washer. I do air dry it though. I don't think it would be dryer safe.
