U can WASH the original dirtdevil filter! no need to buy another when it gets dirty

This is not a good replacement and isn't strong and durable. I got the thought that perhaps I could wash out the old one on my dirt devil? So I took my jet hose to it on a setting that would clean but not rip it apart, hung it on the clothesline by the vertical plastic strip on the underside, waited until it was VERY dry and re-used it. WORKED PERFECTLY!!!!Now every time I empty out the canister, I wash the filter, hang it on the clothesline and wallah! It works fine, has never ripped from the water spray (don't put the jet on 'rip to shreds' speed....and has lasted two YEARS and is CLEAN.Aloha

Cheap Filter - not quite tight fit, too thin and almost tears taking out to clean

It is just a hair off from the tech specs for the product and unlike the original filter than came with my new vacuum, this one is very hard to fully lock into place. Due to its thin soft construction (not stiff like the original) taking it out requires more effort and almost tears the filter.I won't ever buy this brand of replacement filter, even if it significantly less expensive.

Perfect F2 replacement for my vacuum. Read your manual before buying!!!!

This was EXACTLY what I wanted for my vacuum. This F2 is durable and easy to clean and reuse. The filters look flimsy but in reality they are TOUGH. I took a hard brush to it and scrubbed off all the dirt on it and placed it back into my vacuum. Please remember that I brought this from a seller and was fulfilled by Amazon, this is the only way to guarantee the quality of the filter you receive. Many reviewers forget to point out which seller and that leaves people guessing. So remember when buying on amazon always buy from Amazon or Fulfilled by Amazon because you get the same no hassle return policy. Secondly check your vacuum manual like I did before you buy the filter because that is the only way to know which one is the right one. This F2 filter is a little different in that it doesn't have the locking feature that my original filter had BUT the filter was a TIGHT fit in the vacuum so you don't have to worry about it coming off. The price you pay for this filter on Amazon is better then the original.

My only regret is this items construction material used, its inferior paper type filter is not durable. I wish there were a more durable mesh screen type availible for purchase.

Works well, and washes out easily

I'm using this with the Dirt Devil Dynamite bagless upright, and it has worked great for the last three months of use.I have had no issues with dust coming through the filter, and performance has been on par with, if not better than, the original filter.I have used water to clean off the filter as directed, which quickly cleans off most of the dirt. Try moving the folds under the water to break up the dirt clods. It dries quickly, and I use it with no issues less than an hour later.

The picture and description of this item were shown to me as a legitimate, Dirt Devil product. Instead, it is a knockoff that is "compatible" with Dirt Devil vacuums.

Love the fact that it is washable

Saves money due to the fact that it is washable and saves money on replacements. Seems to be as efficient as the original.

Great little filter

I am very pleased with this filter. I have had it in my vacuum for over a month now and it does the job just fine. No complaints!
