The Sanitaire SC785AT Commercial two motor compact upright vacuum cleaner delivers 78 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of air flow, has a folding handle for compact storage, and has an on-board 5 foot stretch attachment hose, a wand with built-in crevice tool, and a dusting brush for different cleaning tasks. It has dual motors to power the suction fan and the brush roll, and the brush roll can be turned off for bare floor cleaning and attachment use. The handle has an automatic locking system with a foot pedal release for usability. This vacuum cleaner has earned a Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) Seal of Approval (bronze rating) for soil removal and indoor air quality in the commercial use vacuum category. The height of the vacuum cleaner can be manually adjusted to four positions to accommodate different flooring surfaces. The vacuum collects debris in a 3 dry quart capacity disposable dust bag, and comes with an allergen filtration bag. The 20-foot power cord wraps around hooks on the cleaner body for storage. This vacuum so far is great, I have no issues with it. It is simple yet efficient. Light weight, the handle folds down for storage, and when folded there is a handle on the vacuum you can use to carry or roll. It has reset button that works...as I got a small rug caught in it and stops the rollers, adjust and push the reset button and off you go. I have not changed the bag, but the instructions look simple. The cleaning head is great as it is slimmer than most which allows you to get under some things that you may otherwise not be able to. The cleaning head is also not as wide which I like as it gets between furniture, wide path cleaning heads giving you 3-4 more inches don't save time when you have to get out another cleaner to get between furniture or move the furniture. The hose removes easily to add the attachments. The cord is heavy duty and the extra length is great to get to more area. I thought the cord would be in the way, but it is not. I have used it on various pile rugs (no height adjustments for rug piles), and bare floor, and works great on all. Setting button is in front easy to see and change. Price is reasonalbe compared to other vacumms out there. Since I just bought this, I cannot review the longevity of it, but I am sure hoping to get many years out of it.
A Great VacuumDeb
After looking at the reviews of other non-commercial vacuums that are more money, don't waste your money on them. I bought this vacuum about 5 years ago and it is still going great. It switches easily between tools, carpet and floors. The only drawback is the brush falls off from its storage place when not in use and the vacuum is moving. Otherwise it is sturdy and up to now I have not have had a problem. I paid the retail price for it so this is a great deal.

i have bought 3 of these already for work. i love that it is small enough to fit in tight places and its great for small homes or apartments, instead of ligging around a monster machine and crashing into all the furniture. the handle folds down to help do the stairs. when you turn it to "bare floor" setting it by-passes the motor blades ....that is great for when you suck up a quarter or a rock from inside your car that it wont bust a fin off of the fan blade, like i did on my old one. i love that the hose is attached and always ready for use, you dont have to attach or detach the hose. its the handiest vacuum ever with SUPER suction. the only negative about this is that its alitle loud.

That is what vacuums are supposed to do. It is light weight easy to handle and it cleans up pet hair great. Home is where the fur flies, but this vacuum can handle it.
Reliable, durable, and versatileMike Stumbers
I have owned or used three of these with a business partner over the last 6+ years, and it is by far the most reliable, durable vac we've used, especially for the price. I use it daily, have a tendency to beat it up a bit, and it keeps coming back for more. It's relatively lightweight, very portable, great for doing stairs, and effective on hard surfaces as well as carpeting. The only drawbacks? It doesn't get under surfaces like a canister vac (it's an upright, after all), and the brush attachment simply won't stay attached to the on-board storage notch (see photo -- it will fall off if you store it like that). That's about all I can say negatively. I recommend it very highly -- very well worth the money.
Great vacuum!!!! Lots of powerpsc
Own a earlier model and am have been very happy. Need to get second vac for main floor and move older model to basement. New model is twice as powerful as far as suction and power. Nice thing about this vac is that everything is sucked straight into bag with no chance of items getting caught in the motor housing. Great for small items that usually kill a vacuum. Kids little toys are not ever a Problem !!!
